Akira Yamaoka, the multitasking name behind Silent Hill, has joined Grasshopper Manufacture, the home of No More Heroes. Yamaoka, who doubled as score composer as well as game producer for several Silent Hill titles, left Konami in early December. 1Up reports (via Weekly Famitsu) that he has joined Suda 51 and his co-horts at Grasshopper.
The article also reports that Yamaoka's official first project at Grasshopper will be the score for the developer's mysterious survival horror title for EA, which was announced in 2008. That means that Suda, former Capcom head Shinji Mikami, and Akira Yamaoka are all now on board for the EA Partners title.
