Stockholm is gradually becoming the European capital of game music concerts. An event promoting music from the Castlevania series was recently announced, and now, the Distant Worlds tour organizers report that they too will visit the capital of Sweden with a completely new repertoire.
Entitled “Distant Worlds II: more music from FINAL FANTASY”, this new concert series dedicated to Nobuo Uematsu‘s music will visit Stockholm on June 12, 2010. Of course, the event will be honored by the presence of Uematsu himself. The concert program will contain many never-before-played tracks that will be familiar to fans the Final Fantasy series. Additionally, we will also have the opportunity to hear previously unreleased music from Final Fantasy XIV!
What is more, Arnie Roth and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra will record material for the new Distant Worlds CD II in January. This material will be presented live at the Stockholm show, and the album will be available for purchase as well.
So finally, after 2 long years, Distant Worlds has returned to Europe! We’re eagerly awaiting this new, refreshed tour.
