Music from the video game series "Castlevania" will be performed live.
It has become standard for Sweden to host at least one concert devoted to game music each year. This summer, our editors had the honor to participate in Stockholm’s Sinfonia Drammatica, one of the most important events of the year. We haven’t cooled down yet, and there are already plans for the next show.
For the first time, the National Philharmonic Hall is hosting a performance of carefully selected tracks from "Castlevania." The songs will be performed by the "Stockholm Youth Symphony Orchestra,” conducted by Glenn Mossop. David Westerlund, the show’s creator, is a Stockholm Academy of Music student, is famous within Sweden for his "Final Fantasy Piano & Vocal Collections on TOUR" concert series.
In addition to music from the aforementioned "Castlevania, the well known composer Michiru Yamane - who has composed for many game titles in the Dracula/vampire hunter genre - will play live as an invited special guest.
The concert will take place February 19, 2010. Tickets can be purchased at this address, and we invite everyone to participate in this unique event.
