"Music Master: Chopin", a new music game, is being created by Bloober Team, a Polish studio. It aims to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin's birthday.
Like Eternal Sonata, this new title prominently features Chopin. However, the similarities end there. "Music Master: Chopin" will be similar to games like Guitar Hero, Rock Band and DJ Hero, and apart from classical piano pieces, we'll also hear vocal perfromances and rock arrangements of Chopin's music.
The game is currently being developed for PC, Mac, iPhone and iPad platforms, but there are talks to release it on consoles as well. The creator and producer of the game, Piotr Babieno (known for his work with the defunct Nibris studio, responsible for the never-finished "Sadness" project), announced that in 2 weeks, the first graphic materials of "Music Master: Chopin" will be available.
The concept for "Music Master: Chopin" game was one of the winners of the Chopin 2010 – Promesa competition. As a result, the game is funded by the Polish Ministry of Culture, and will help celebrate 2010 – the Year of Chopin. Game developers hope that the release will draw attention to Chopin's works and achievements.
